A section of youths from Makueni County has expressed their reservation after their Governor Kivutha Kibwana dissolved Youths, Sports and Gender ministry.
The youths though an online forum - Makueni County Sharing Forum - asked the governor to create more ministries so as to employ the youths other than dissolving the already existing ministries.
"Instead of Kivutha Kibwana creating more ministries to cater for the high number of unemployed youth he's busy he's busy trimming them down nkt!" wrote Bennie Musyoka.
"And that's the real KK (Kivutha Kibwana). If youths are waiting to be empowered under his tenure forget...," added Lance Marley.
Another member went ahead to say that Kibwana is confused and doesn't know what to do with the youth.
"What am 100% convinced is Kibwana is very confused and doesn't know what to do with youth. Next, it will be in the governor's office," said Winnie Mukosi.
Winnie noted that politicians can not empower youths because they can easily take their positions.
The governor has placed the docket under the Ministry of Education and the fate of the CEC under the docket Godfrey Makau is unknown.
However, some of the group members defended the governor saying that it's not about the ministry but the youth.
"Even the youths' affairs are in the ministry of the old and are taken care of then that's ok," said Charles Kyalo.
"What a lame reporting! This is the height of press impunity. Seems Mbaitu FM either employs quacks for reporters or picks any wind for news," maintained Mwanahabari Shupavu.
