Nyamira County senator Okong’o Omogeni has asked area governor John Nyagarama to ensure two cuban doctors sent to the county are well taken care of.
According to the vocal senator, the foreign medics should not be harassed while working in the county for the sake of improving health care in the region.
“Nyagarama should put everything in place to ensure the two doctors are comfortable while working in the county.
"All we need is proper health services to be delivered to Nyamira constituents,” he said.
O'mogeni said Nyagarama should also ensure health workers especially nurses resumes work and get good pay for the purpose of serving residents across the county.
“Unnecessary strikes among health workers should come to an end in Nyamira County.
"It is time Nyagarama should work around the clock and ensure striking health workers resume work,” he added.
He urged County MCAs to work closely with the executive for the sake of development in the region.
The senator asked residents not to shy away and allow MCAs and county workers to embezzle development funds.
