A ten-year-old boy on Monday killed his classmate in Suba South Sub-County, Homa Bay County.
The incident was confirmed by Homa Bay County Directorate of Criminal Investigations boss Daniel Wachira who said that the two boys were playing when the tragedy occurred.
The police boss said that the victim who is nine years old died after being pushed against the wall by the older boy. The two are class two pupils at a local primary school.
Wachira said that the boy was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Seka Health Centre where he had been taken after passing out following the incident.
He said that the police are treating the incident as an accident and will therefore not take any legal actions against the victim's classmate.
He further revealed that the family of the deceased decided not to press any charges against the boy.
“We have informed the dead boy’s parents of the incident, they have decided not to press any charges against the other pupil,” said Wachira as quoted by the Nation.
