Former Makadara lawmaker Benson Mutura now claims that opposition leader Raila Odinga has peddled confusion into the ruling Jubilee Party.
This comes a year after the former Prime Minister struck a working union with President Uhuru Kenyatta, after which the two have stuck together.
But Mutura now says that Raila's inclusion in some matters that were initially fully handled by the party leadership is leading to confusion on the position he holds.
Citing Raila's inclusion in the government's Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) extension decision, the ex-parliamentarian said that it has become hard identifying Jubilee's direction.
"Hii Jubilee haieleweki sasa maana kama Raila ndiye anayeamua kitakachofanyika sasa hatujui tunaenda wapi (it has come to a point where it's Raila who is now making the decisions, we no longer understand things)," he said.
He was speaking on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi on Saturday morning.
Mutura stressed on the need for a party members' meeting, failure to which he warned that things might worsen in the coming days.
"Tunafaa sasa tukae chini kama chama ili tuelewane (we need to call a meeting and discuss these issues)," he added.
Similar concerns have been repeatedly aired by other Jubilee members including Deputy President William Ruto who is the opinion that Raila's presence close to the president is an also great danger to the ruling party.
Ruto has been claiming that Raila is using his trice with the President to break the party for personal reasons ahead of the 2022 polls.
