The government of Uganda will acquire a massive piece of land in Naivasha for investment, President Uhuru Kenyatta has said.
Speaking at the Mombasa port where he toured together with Uganda President Yoweri Museveni on Thursday, March 28, Uhuru said the government is ready to offer the land.
The land will be reportedly be used by Uganda to build a dry port.
During a media address at the Mombasa port, Uhuru Kenyatta also hailed the quick movement of goods from Mombasa to Malaba which has steered the economic development in both Kenya and Uganda.
He added that the Naivasha port will make the movement faster and cheaper.
"I have assured President Museveni that with the development in Naivasha and then moving SGR to Malaga, goods will be moving from Mombasa to Malaga in just two days," said Kenyatta.
President Museveni is visiting Kenya for a two-day visit.
