A middle aged man, a father of two shocked villagers in Manga, Nyamira County after he eloped with his neighbour's daughter.
Fred Obae, the area assistant chief, said the man identified as Jackson Sasati has been having an affair with his neighbor's daughter Elmelda Nyanchama.
"Nyanchama dropped school at standard seven (7) 1 year ago after she faked pregnancy. Since then Sasati started having a love affair with her. Efforts by elders to stop the two from having an affair were in vain," he said.
Obae said the man who has since abandoned his wife eloped with Nyanchama on Monday evening.
"The two lovers went to live at a rental house in Chebilat. I am going to do everything possible to ensure the two are nabbed," he added.
He warned married men against being unfaithful in marriages saying HIV/Aids will not spare such men.
"It is advisable for men to respect their wives who are living with them. Sasati will have to face the law because it seems that he is the reason Nyanchama dropped school," said Obae.
The chief challenged parents to give necessary advice to their children more especially girls so that they don't drop school to have illicit love affairs with married men.
