On Sep 12, 2017, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua became the man of the moment after he left President Uhuru Kenyatta in stitches when he narrated how he had mastered the art of asking for 'kitu Kidogo'.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leader thrilled the crowd.
Kenyatta could not hold back his laughter even for a minute.
The Head of state was seen laughing as Mutua continued to make his speech.
“Rais tunasema kitu ni vile tunaitisha. Na wengine wetu tunajua kuitisha. Hatunyimwi. Na Kitu ni vile unaomba. Na hii kiti. [President, it is the way you ask for something, some of us know how to ask. We cannot be denied, and this seat]," Mutua said.
Mutua has, however, maintained that he will be in the presidential ballot in 2022 elections.
The second term county boss says he has what it takes to ascend to power when that time comes.
Mutua, however, is holding his breath after the Court of Appeal nullified his August 8, 2017 victory.
