Kisii County Deputy Governor, Joash Maangi, on Monday warned residents against encroaching public lands in the county.
Maangi was speaking when he met with members of the Taskforce on land digitization said grabbing of public lands must be a past tense.
"Residents invading public lands claiming to be owners must stop. Lands office staff who will be caught helping locals to forge land title deeds for the locals will face the full force of the law," he said.
The Deputy Governor called upon EACC not to spare anyone in the graft war.
"Corruption is an enemy to development. I am urging EACC to ensure no one who engages in dubious dealings is left to walk free," he added.
Maangi argued that the need for land records digitization will help in curbing cases of land titles forgery where some selfish lands staff members will demand bribes from locals to forge the land title deeds.
He assured that he is committed to helping his boss governor James Ongwae to deliver quality services to the electorates.
Mr. Maangi called on local politicians to shun divisive politics which may divide Kenyans along political lines.
