Tiaty Member of Parliament William Kamket has fired out at Deputy President William Ruto for being carelessly vocal about the latest corruption saga in the country.
Speaking at Akwichatis area in the constituency on Sunday, the lawmaker instead demanded that the DP gives any information he has to the relevant investigative bodies.
He added that Ruto's public declarations and comments about the Arror and Kimwarer dams are not of any importance to the nation if not given to the right bodies.
He also bashed the DP for downplaying claims that Sh21 billion was lost and the amount paid to the contractor was only Ksh7 billion.
"This is an active investigation so take that information to the DCI headquarters. Don’t tell us ‘it was only seven billion’ yet what we want is dams we want water,” Kamket was quoted by the Citizen Digital.
He also extended the same to Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen on whose county the projects are set to be constructed for also defending the projects.
The close ally of Baringo Senator and Ruto's chief rival urged Murkomen to take any information he has about the same to the police to avoid confusing Kenyans.
"Do not bother us with these stories. If you have information go to the police. I also want to tell Kipchumba Murkomen; that statement you were releasing in parliament about the dams, take it to the police,” he added.
Ruto added that the whereabouts of the funds a be traced as the government undertook the required due diligence.
