Protus Momanyi, ex-Bonchari MP said Sossion must be ignored because of his ill motives.

"Parents will not afford keeping their children at home once schools re-opens in 2019. Sossion's cheap threats that teachers must go on strike next year are unacceptable," he said.

The former lawmaker wondered why Sossion has refused to resign and concentrate on politics after Orange Democratic (ODM) Movement Party nominated him as MP last year.

He urged teachers not only in Kisii County but, across the country to return back to school to continue teaching pupils and students.

"Sossion should keep off Teachers Service Commission affairs. Teachers should be transfers to various schools so that they can be exposed. The noise Sossion is making should not be condoned at all," he added.

Mr. Momanyi called upon parents not to spend too much money to celebrate Christmas and forget paying school fees for their children.

He appealed to Sossion to consider resigning from his KNUT position immediately.
