Nandi county Senator Samson Cherargei has backed the arrest of Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal.
The vocal senator, while speaking on Tuesday night during an interview at Citizen Television, said the governor should carry his cross.
"Corruption is an enemy to development. Governor Lenolkulal's arrest came at the right time when graft war is at the peak. He must face the law so that others can learn a lesson," he said.
He expressed his confidence graft will end in this country.
"We need to fight corruption to the latter end. Politicians both in Jubilee or NASA should step up efforts to end the vice," he stated.
Mr Cherargei however, said proper methodologies should be used to arrest and arraign corrupt individuals in court.
He dismissed claims that he is among the leaders claiming graft war is targeting one community.
"You know at time we need to address personal concerns. My utterances over corruption didn't mean that graft opposed graft all I opposed is the way corruption is being fought. Politicians allied to opposition should stop dragging DP Ruto into corruption scandals," he added.
