A prominent Nairobi-based businessman has revealed part of his lavish lifestyle that involves importing expensive clothes from European countries.
Chris Kirubi in an interview with local Swahili newspaper Taifa Leo says most of the suits he wears are imported from Europe and the US and among the imported cloth-wear in his possession, the cheapest one costs Sh840,000.
He said some of the suits he puts on were bought at Sh2.3 million each and the maker is the same tailor who prepares US President Donald Trump's suits and jackets. The tailor is based in Italy.
Kirubi is known for his lavish lifestyle. He is among the richest Kenyans today as he controls shares in major companies both locally and internationally.
Among reputable firms he has mega control in are Kenya Airways, Capital FM and telecommunications giant Safaricom.
His advice to young entrepreneurs is that they should pursue their dreams with all the devotion that it deserves.
"Do not confine your mind to one path. As a businessman or woman, you need to diversify your interests," he says.
"Be devoted to your job and your business but execute wisdom while at it. Manage your time wisely so that you can effectively have multiple sources of income."
