A section of opposition leaders have now accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of 'betraying' Kenyans following his decision to reject Finance Bill.
On Friday, Uhuru sent the bill back to parliament and is expected to table his reasons to reject it.
Led by Timothy Bosire, the ODM leaders questioned Uhuru's sincerity in the 16 per cent VAT on petroleum products.
"It is quite disappointing that he could reject it after few hours. He should have even looked at it to save the situation," said Bosire.
Nyamira branch ODM chairman Richard Kaka warned of consequences should parliament side with the president.
"A leader is a person who stands with people at the time of need. Uhuru has shown none of that. We are keen and the people's revolution is possible."
On Tuesday, parliament will reconvene to give the president audience with regard to the bill.
