Two men were on Friday arraigned before a Nakuru Court to answer to charges of assaulting a female county officer.
Joel Mwangi Ndungu and Felix Oduor Otieno were being accused of allegedly assaulting Gladys Makungu Mudaiki.
According to nation.co.ke, the court heard the two physically assaulted the Nakuru County enforcement officer on June 19 in Nakuru town.
The two accused however denied the charges before Nakuru Chief Magistrate Josephat Kalo.
During the case hearing, the two filed an application before court to be released on bail pending the next case hearing.
Magistrate Kalo granted their application and ordered that they be released on a Sh10,000 bond each and a surety of a similar amount.
The case will be mentioned on June 24.
