Prostitution in Nakuru, just like any other job, has its own challenges, one of them being lack of clients in 'dry' days.
The prostitutes, however, have come up with tricks to survive on such days.
Here are some of the things they do to better the situation
1. Humble appeals
There are days when they undergo 'dry-spells' to an extent where they come out of their dens in the dark corridors to display their goodies in the open.
To better the result, they call upon passersby to give it a try, using honorable titles like 'boss' to try and attract your attention.
2. Provocative postures
Being well aware that most men can easily be stimulated into making decisions favorable to them, they will sit and stand on the verandahs in a way that exposes a section of their 'juicy' merchandise.
This is very common along the Gusii Avenue, within Nakuru CBD, which brags of many brothels and nightclubs.
Whether or not it pays off remains solely known to them, as most of the men who give in do not usually approach them directly, but use clever ways to signal them into corridors for negotiations.
3. Storytelling and conversations
Just like any other person, they use their free time to chat and converse as they chat their way forward.
This is also the time when they get time to provoke each other, ending up in fights and insults-hurling contests, since an idle mind is usually the center of negative agenda.
