Police in Tana River County have arrested five men accused of gang raping a 13-year-old girl.
The five are part of a seven-man group suspected of committing the offence in Laini village on Sunday night.
The group reportedly ambushed the girl from her home when she went out to the toilet and hauled him onto a waiting motorbike and sped off.
The suspects reportedly took the victim to a bush where they raped her in turns in the village located 40 kilometres from Hola Town.
According to Citizen Digital, they used a cloth to cover her mouth to avoid her alerting residents while committing the heinous act.
The police have since launched a manhunt for the remaining two suspects who, however, remain at large.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI has since confirmed the same on its twitter handle.
