Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose's conduct has been questioned following ugly incident that saw two politicians forcefully evicted from a funeral last Friday.
Vincent Omao and Hillary Abuya, who have declared interest in the race, were denied opportunity to speak during the burial of one Enoch Omwenga, an officer in Nyamira County Assembly.
"It's uncouth for him to use goons to evict us from a burial. He just stood still and asked the goons to push us. This is just the beginning. He should be ready for bruising battle," Abuya warned.
Mr Omao, a senior activist, has been at loggerheads with CDF team, accusing it of money laundering and fraud, something that may have angered Mr Mose.
And on Wednesday, former area MP Timothy Bosire condemned the incident, arguing that Mr Mose has lost focus and should consider medicating and soul searching.
"I used to handle critics and supporters with courtesy. They are all your people. It's important that he apologizes. You cannot humiliate your opponents. Let him just apologise," he said on phone.
Mr Mose is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto. He has been leading pro-Ruto campaigns across Nyamira County. For the last one year, he has hosted the DP twice.
Bosire, the ODM national treasurer, is keen to take over from Governor John Nyagarama, whose leadership has been marred with massive graft allegations and maladministration.
