The Kenyan man continues to register frustrations hinged on intimate affairs.
In Homa Bay County, a 31-year-old man killed himself on Easter Monday over issues with his estranged wife.
Erick Ooko is said to have disagreed with his wife who ran away to her parent’s home.
Intervention by elders saw the wife agree to return to her matrimonial home.
When Ooko called her on Monday to follow up on their agreement, she reportedly refused to answer his phone leaving him nursing heartbreak.
Kawuor Location chief Samuel Oloko confirmed the incident.
“The man was badly hurt and went to his house where he took poison and died on the spot. He swallowed a pesticide used to control ticks,” Oloko said.
He added: “He had lied to his father that he has gone to a local centre to send fare to his wife to come back.”
Another man, Naftali Kinuthia, shocked the country when he massacred a female Moi University medical student for allegedly refusing to pick his calls.
Kinuthia said he had been angered by the victim, Ivy Wangeci, as she refused to talk to him despite them having agreed on her birthday bash plans.
He is now behind bars waiting to face murder charges.
