Former Wajir West MP Ahmed Kolosh has asked competitors eyeing the seat in the April 25 by-election to prepare for a bruising battle.
Kolosh says he is not leaving anything to chance in the quest to retain the seat.
Speaking to journalists in Wajir Town on Tuesday, the former ODM MP asked his supporters to get ready for the by-election.
Kolosh exuded confidence of retaining the seat, noting that the Supreme Court erred when it nullified his victory.
"I am prepared to face my opponents in the by-election and ask them to get ready for a bruising defeat," Kolosh told news reporters.
He pleaded with security agencies to beef up security during the campaign period.
The former legislator also urged Wajir West locals to remain peaceful.
Kolosh's election was nullified on grounds that it was not free and fair.
Last week, National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi declared the seat vacant.
On Monday, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) picked April 25 for the Wajir West by-election.
