Until a few weeks back, Deputy President William Ruto was a calm man whose only commotion was when he took off and landed on his choppers.
This was mostly as he crisscrossed the nation 'supervising' government development projects and launching new ones.
But this has since disappeared and he is again back to the starting point, attacking and hitting out at opposition leader Raila Odinga, his possible main rival in the 2022 presidential race.
At the same time, his allies have been repeatedly termed Raila a perennial loser who will have lost to Ruto by morning, should the two face off in the much-awaited contest.
But it seems the DP has finally realized that the former Prime Minister is simply a rock, judging by his apparent hand in the Jubilee Party wrangles.
And just like a scared man, the DP is once again all over the place attacking and insulting Raila, who is older than him by the way.
His newest jab seems to be revolving around the expulsion of Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa from Raila's Orange party and has been maximizing on that to send his point home.
Ruto has gone to an extent of personally attacking Raila, terming him a useless man for allegedly harassing a woman.
This is proof that he has sensed danger and is now holding onto anything he believes can help him demean Odinga and make him appear bad among Kenyans before the elections.
He has stopped ignoring Raila as has been the case since Jubilee secured reelection, and is again very vocal against him, a demonstration that he is an uncomfortable man.
