Speaking on Thursday from the union's headquarters, the firebrand KNUTsupremo said that those teachers were taken to court and interdicted.

"Teachers were policed to the training centres and intimidated and those who did not turn up have been interdicted and others arraigned in court. Is that how to roll out a curriculum? ... What happened in the training centres is that they only collected allowances but they are more confused than they were, " Sossion said while responding to a journalist's question.

Sossion has called on teachers across the country to boycott the new curriculum that the government is keen on rolling out in a bid to improve education standards in the country.

KNUT has been embroiled in a vicious war of words with the Ministry of Education over the roll-out of the curriculum.

Sossion has maintained that the input of teachers who are stakeholders in the education sector was not sought.

He has challenged Education CS George Magoha to show proof that KNUT approved the CBC.

Magoha has insisted that there will be no going back on the implementation of the curriculum.
