Caroline’s autopsy was to be done on Thursday morning. However, City Mortuary attendants kept off the facility in their on-going strike.

Chief Government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor hinted on transferring the body to another facility in the city.

Initially, the postmortem was to be done on Wednesday but it wasn’t as Dr. Odour was away.

According to Citizen TV’s Hassan Mugambi who was at the City Mortuary on Thursday morning, the facility was dormant as attendants never reported to work.

“Dr Oduor is contemplating moving Ms Mwatha’s body to another morgue, where the exercise can uninterruptedly go on,” said Hassan Mugambi as quoted by Citizen

“So far, Ms Mwatha’s family members have arrived at City morgue. We are only waiting for Independent Medico-Legal Unit (IMLU) representative and Homicide Detectives to arrive before the autopsy is conducted,” he added.

Caroline passed away under unclear circumstances. The police came out allegedly stating that she died attempting to abort her five months pregnancy.

Six people were arrested in connection with these allegations.

Her family members declined these allegations stating that they had never seen their daughter pregnant.
