The governor has based his decision on misbehaviour from residents and their ward representatives after the residents vowed to not remit taxes to the county government.

Rasanga on Thursday directed his Trade Enterprise and Finance officials to stop projects in Central Alego and West Asembo wards.

He has claimed that the people are being incited by their Members of County Assemblies Leonard Oriaro and Ambrose Akuno respectively.

He has warned the traders who are lamenting of uncollected garbage and poor drainage of arrest for evading taxes, adding that the county will as well close down the markets.

They also want the county to address the issues of lack of security lights and toilets in the markets, in what has now attracted the attention of another county MCAs.

Speaking on Thursday, they criticized the county boss, accusing him of being insensitive and vowing to closely monitor his moves going forward.

They were speaking at the county assembly and warned that the move could also divide the county down the middle.

This is not the first time Rasanga is clashing with the MCAs as he was in a similar situation last year when the assembly rejected his preliminary budget.
