Migori has been in the news since September 3 when Rongo University student Sharon Otieno and journalist Barrack Oduor were kidnapped.
Sharon's body was found the following day lifeless.
The murder dragged Migori Governor Okoth Obado which exposed his county into the media limelight.
And it seems the region is not about to go away from media coverage for the wrong reasons.
On Monday, residents were shocked after news spread that there was a woman who had been married by two men. What was shocking is that the two men were living with the woman under one roof.
This practise is unheard of in the African context where polygamy is the only thing embraced.
Chamgiwadu area chief David Onyango said they received complaints from aggrieved members of the public who threatened to lynch one of the men.
Onyango said the woman, a fishmonger, came back home with another man from work.
The other man joined her husband and they started living as two husbands and one wife.
Neighbours said polyandrous is a taboo in the community and it must be addressed lest it brings a bad omen to the village.
The chief led his officers in arresting the three who were taken to a local station.
He, however, said there was no legal provision that disallows a woman from being married by two men in the same house. He said they will apply other means to solve the matter.
