A clergy in Eldoret town has faulted Baringo Senator Gideon Moi for allowing Mombasa governor Hassan Joho to meet retired President Daniel Moi.
Joho and Mzee Moi met on Saturday at Kabarak, Nakuru county.
It is a meeting that has not gon down well with the Uasin Gishu Gospel Ministers chairman Bishop Wilson Kurui who questioned why Joho was allowed to meet the former president while Deputy President William Ruto was denied an opportunity to see him.
"As a religious leader, I am not happy on how Baringo Senator is conducting himself. Why should he allow some people to meet mzee Moi while others are being denied or is there something we are not told?" said Bishop Kurui in Eldoret town, Monday.
The Jesus is Love ministries leader challenged Senator Moi to treat all visitors equally regardless of their political differences noting that Moi was Kenya's president and everyone has a right to access him.
"I want to call upon Senator Moi to swallow his pride and allow the Deputy President to visit Mzee Moi since it’s not a good picture for people from other leaders to access mzee while our own leader is denied access. I am reading malice in his behaviors," added Bishop Kurui.
