On Saturday in Nyamira, Dr Matiang'i once again showed his chorister skills, leading the Church in Borabu constituency during songs and praises segment.

In a video making rounds on social media, Dr Matiang'i is seen conducting church choir, singing all stanzas in 'He Leadeth Me' hymn, a popular song among the Protestants.

After the song, a passionate Matiang'i asks christians to lead honest lives, adding that church should be the last place where politics should be witnessed.

"My fellow christians, let's try to lead honest lives. Dwelling on church politics is something toxic and bad before the eyes of the Lord. Let's try to live lives wirth befitting Christians," he said.

Further, he added: "As Christians, it's wrong to break rules and commandments then we pretend that everything is ok. We must discourage hypocrisy in church."

More often than not, Matiang'i usually assumes tasks of church elder whenever he visits any SDA Church across the country. Back at home, he's a member of Nyamira Conference.

Uniquely, he never indulges in politics once in church. And often, he scolds politicians who uses the pulpit to spread hate speech and propaganda.

A month ago, he donated two buses to help in women ministry at Nyamira and South Kenya Conferences. He asked the women ministry to expand it's evangelism across the borders.
