Ms Waiguru, a former devolution minister, moved to court when Raila linked him to Sh791 million NYS scandal that led to her unceremonious exit from government.

At Raila's Capitol Hill offices on Wednesday, Waiguru said she's disinterested with the case, adding that she is ready to work with Mr Odinga to strengthen devolution.

"Held a meeting with Governor @AnneWaiguru and agreed to “let by-gones be by-gones” and leave the matter of the NYS scandal in the hands of investigators. She said her case against me is now settled in the spirit of reconciliation that the nation has embarked on," Raila said.https://twitter.com/RailaOdinga/status/1062697449435869184?s=19.

He added: "We also reviewed the status of devolution in the country and agreed to exchange views frequently on how to address the challenges."https://twitter.com/RailaOdinga/status/1062698149540716547?s=19.

It was the second time Raila was meeting Waiguru, a close confidant of President Uhuru Kenyatta at his Capitol Hill offices.

The duo first came face to face in as many years in April 2018, a month after Raila's unexpected handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta, where they discussed about Devolution Conference held in Kakamega that very month.
