It's all fun and games until you graduate but can't find a job because you don't have much work experience.

If you're going through this, this article is for you.

Here are three tips that might help you secure a job placement without experience.

1. Embrace your lack of experience

No one ever starts at being excellent, we all start from somewhere.

Therefore, if you're applying for an entry-level job, the first step that might help you secure that job is just being honest and embracing your inexperience.

Your interviewer already knows you're looking for an entry-level position, so you don't need to beat yourself up trying to forge or come up with experiences that don't make sense or rather do not exist.

However show your commitment, zeal, dedication and willingness to learn on the job. This is what most employers look for anyway.

2. Be open to starting from the bottom.

Starting from the bottom through internships, volunteer work or if you're lucky enough to get an entry-level position is what will propel you to greater heights.

This is not a time or phase to be picky. Drop that common millennial mentality that "after campus, I can't accept a job that pays me less than Sh25,000". Take the job and work your way up the ranks.

Also, if someone offers you a job in a field you didn't study, accept the offer and learn on the job.

3. Network

They always say your network is your net worth.

So if you keep going to networking events, chances are you might meet a potential employer as inexperienced as you are.

You might intrigue an employer into hiring you just from the way you interact, converse or carry yourself.
