Nairobians have expressed mixed reactions after a team working with Nairobi governor Mike Sonko arrested Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu's wife.
Ms Susan Wangare was apprehended Wednesday morning among 14 others who are believed to have done illegal constructions in the city county.
A combined team of county and national governments have heightened efforts to bring down illegal structures on riparian land and arrest those responsible for the illegal constructions.
Taking to social media, residents were split between supporting the effort from the authorities, while others looked at it with an eye of suspicion.
"Good one, this man been walking from one TV station to the next like a decent human being, knowing he is a thug that needs to be in jail," said Thiong'o wa Gichuhi.
Beatrice Gatumwa hailed the authorities and said Waititu knew about these 'crimes' all along.
"Pooh no wonder he was barking!" she said.

Others used the arrest to make fun of the Kiambu governor:
"Waititu should start THE RIPARIAN PARTY OF KENYA. As riparians, we will elect him as the thief reaper (😂) sorry I meant chief reaper. Waititu 2022," wrote Pato Oti.

"Don't take her to jail, move the jail to her house."
