President Kenyatta is expected to officially open Rivatex  East Africa limited on Friday.

Speaking to the press at the industry's premises on Thursday, Rono said everything is in order, therefore, no cause for alarm.

"It's sad that we have seen in some daily newspaper that our area MP Oscar Sudi will not be allowed to speak during the president's visit, this is just but propaganda and rumours that do not hold water. There is no tension whatsoever," said the Kipkenyo MCA.

"I want to assure President Uhuru Kenyatta that Eldoret residents are peaceful people and are eagerly waiting for him to open the long-awaited company which will employ over 3000 youths," he added.

He further said that Sudi is a straight forward man and cannot play politics where development matters.

Rono spoke after reports by a local daily indicated that it was indicated that Sudi will not be allowed to speak during the official opening of the Rivatex East Africa Limited and that the area Governor Jackson Mandago and the Deputy President William Ruto are the only ones who will be allowed to talk.
