A Jubilee Senator has said the party has weathered many storms but the Mau evictions might be the end of the coalition.
Speaking Tuesday morning, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot hit out at Jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju over his remarks that the government will not relent on getting people out of the forest.
“I want to tell you this equivocally, that I have been in Jubilee since I joined politics and we have gone through many issues amicably. But this is one thing that will end the Jubilee and people forget if there was a party called Jubilee,” Cheruiyot said.
Cheruiyot was speaking on NTV’s AM Live with Debal Aineah.
Several Rift Valley leaders led by Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has also come out vocally against the government on the ongoing evictions.
The leaders accuse the government of conducting the operation in an inhumane way.
