There was drama on Sunday at Keumbu boda boda stage after three dirty boda boda riders were stripped naked and washed as members of the public watched.
Peter Omweri, the stage secretary said the three riders identified as Albert Mogaka, Lawrence Aming'a and Fred Sagwe have been operating for several months without bathing.
"Customers have been complaining about the bad smell the three produce while at work. Our efforts to plead with them to bath hit the wall something that forced us to team up, apprehend them and strip them naked before we forced them to bath as members of the public watched," he said.
Mr. Omweri insisted that it will be a routine for any rider who won't be bathing.
"Boda boda riders are encouraged to bath daily so that our customers don't feel offended with us smelling. Anyone who will be caught dirty will be stripped naked and forced to have a bath in public," he stated.
He urged residents using motorbikes as means of transport not to be scared reporting any rider producing bad smell.
Omweri added that riders should ensure the coats they use are washed.
