In a video that is doing rounds on social media, a farmer in Uasin Gishu county has hit out at Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi over his recent remarks targeted against three fellow North Rift MPs.
The farmer, Eng. Thomas Murgor defended the three legislators saying all they were doing was to challenge Deputy President William Ruto's silence over maize issues.
Murgor who unsuccessfully vied for the Uasin Gishu Senatorial seat on an ODM ticket in 2017 further termed Sudi's remarks against fellow legislators as premature.
"I am so overturned by saying this, My friend Hon Oscar Kipchumba Sudi from Kapseret; this man is intellectually challenged person, self-proclaim 'mtu wa hadithi'. Very ignorant about farmers rights," says Murgor in the video shared on a local Facebook group.
"He is programmed 'mtu wa mkono' to just say 2022," he added.
A declaration by three MPs Alfred Keter (Nandi Hills), Joshua Kutuny (Cherangany) and Silas Tiren (Moiben) that DP Ruto is involved in the maize cartels has caused a storm in the North Rift region.
Several DP allies have come out guns blazing against the three MPs, with some branding them as political brokers who are working against Ruto's 2022 presidential ambitions.
