Emmanuel Otieno popularly known as Jadudi has died after battling brain cancer for some years.
Jadudi died on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 morning at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (Russia) in Kisumu.
His death was confirmed by the Africa Cancer Foundation through its official Twitter handle saying that he was a great legend.
“We regret to inform you that Jadudi, a.k.a Emmanuel Otieno succumbed to brain cancer at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Hospital, Kisumu on the night of March 4, 2019. He was a real Shuja! May God rest his soul in eternal peace and comfort his family. ACF mourns Jadudi.”
In May last year, Jadudi’s family appealed to Kenyans to help bring him back home after a series of unsuccessful surgeries to remove a tumour in his brain conducted in India.
Before that, Kenyans had helped raise over Shs 6 million to help him receive treatment in India.
“We have exhausted the Shs 6.4 million raised by Kenyans in 2015 and new bills are overwhelming. Doctors have said they can stabilise him by Monday to enable him travel and we are appealing to well-wishers to help us bring him home so that he can continue with medical and nursing care here at home,” said father at the time.
He was a University of Nairobi student. May he rest in peace.
