Former Gor Mahia manager Dylan Kerr has given his support for Zedekiah Otieno to carry on the work they started together at the club, after leaving the Kenya champions.
Kerr left the team last week after they jetted back to the country from a trip to Everton, where they were hammered 4-0 by teh English side.
According to Kerr, Zico, as he is commonly known is capable of helping the team achieve greatness and continue with his legacy.
“He learnt a lot from me and if anything it’s about those players playing for him. Remember it is the same squad and this should be easy for him to make a good start with the team,” Kerr is quoted saying.
“Gor Mahia should give ‘Zico’ time and I know he can deliver because he knows everyone at the club. He was a good assistant to me and wanted to learn more and he now needs to show what he learnt during my time with him because you must always take the good from what you learn," he added.
The Britton left after guiding the team to their 17th title and was a fan favorite with the Gor team.
He has since been appointed the new coach of Black Leopards of South Africa.
