Gedi says that Islamic religion does not condone or advocate for terrorism as some people are allegedly claiming.

According to Gedi, no religion should be blamed for coward terror activities in the country and the world.

In a tweet on her official twitter account on Tuesday, after the Dusit terror attack at 14 Riverside in Nairobi, the vocal Wajir lawmaker asked Kenyans to stop blaming religion for terrorism activities.

“It is important to note that 2 of my relatives were killed in the Dusit D2 attack. Islam, or any other religion, can’t be blamed for the cowardly attack,” Gedi tweeted on Tuesday.

The vocal legislator asked propagandists to stop spreading hate and instead preach unity among Kenyans.

On Wednesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta confirmed that 14 people lost their lives in the Dusit terror attack.

The president also said that six suspected terrorist behind the attack were killed by security forces.

President Kenyatta assured Kenyans and visitors of their security, calling on them to remain vigilant.
