A video that went viral on social media shows an elderly lady crawling behind the president during his Friday's address from Mombasa which was broadcasted live.

Ms Dena said: "By the time the cameras had begun rolling, she was on the right side of the President. Her positioning was okay until something came up during the interview. I needed her to handle some urgent task. I am blaming poor timing on the gaffe.

“Our arrangement was when the cameras were focused on the journalists, she would crawl to the left. Unfortunately, when she was doing that, the cameras resumed focus on the Head of State. Though occasional, these things do happen during such fast-paced and multi-camera productions,” Dena explained.www.standardmedia.co.ke/ureport

The State House spokesperson refused to reveal the identity of the lady who excited social media users for the better part of Saturday.

During the event, the president addressed corruption, Big Four agenda, foreign debt and the issues surrounding 2022 elections which have already caused jitters among politicians.
