Controversial Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria is on Monday expected to appear before Mililani law courts where he is facing charges over hate speech allegations during the 2017 presidential re-run elections.
It was alleged that Moses Kuria had talked ill of the then NASA coalition presidential aspirant Raila Odinga.
Taking to his Facebook page, Kuria wondered why he still has to appear before a court of law yet president Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga buried the hatched one and a half years ago through the handshake.
“A year and a quarter after the handshake, I am heading to Milimani Law Courts for the hearing of an incitement case whereby I am accused of telling Raila Odinga “Wembe ni Ule Ule” before the repeat election of 26th October 2017. So help me God,” Kuria posted on Facebook.
Kuria was arrested in September 2017 when Kenyans were preparing to go back to the presidential ballot after the high Court nullified President Uhuru's win during the 8th August general elections.
National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) had accused the outspoken legislator who was a staunch supporter of President Kenyatta and Jubilee party of hate speech.
He was however released on cash bail after spending a few days behind the bars and he is still facing the same charges.
