Machakos MP Victor Munyaka is serving his third term in office.
The Deputy President William Ruto's close ally was first elected in 2007 on an ODM-Kenya Party ticket.
Munyaka got re-elected to parliament on Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) party in 2013.
He, however, won the seat on a Jubilee party ticket on August 8, 2017 polls.
The MP is among the Kamba politicians who have fallen-out with Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
Munyaka was born in 1964 in Machakos.
He schooled at Metuma Primary school between 1970 and 1978.
Munyaka then proceeded to Kabaa secondary school for his 'O' Levels.
The MP later proceeded to Mangu High School for his 'A' Levels.
In 1986, Munyaka enrolled for a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Nairobi (UoN).
He graduated in 1990.
After his university studies, Munyaka ventured into business.
He then joined active politics in 2007 and won the Machakos parliamentary seat.
Political analysts argue that Munyaka is among the Kamba politicians who will shape the region's 2022 succession politics.
