A former Member of Parliament from Gusii region has reacted following the suspension of Supreme court Judge Jackton Ojwang.
Ex-Bonchari MP Protus Momanyi dismissed Ojwang's suspension saying President Uhuru Kenyatta knows what he is doing.
"Uhuru suspended Ojwang who sided with him during the 2017 presidential poll petition until the last. He suspended him because he wants him to rest to divert Kenyans' attention who are unhappy with Ojwang," he said.
The ex-legislator argued that Ojwang will go home a peaceful man after all because he served his master well.
"Justice Ojwang is about to retire therefore, his suspension won't worry him so much due to his old age. He has nothing to lose after all. Let him prepare to go home to rest and enjoy his old age," he added.
Momanyi claimed that there is impunity at the Judiciary system which needs to be cleaned if at all justice will be served to Kenyans in the corridors of the court.
Justice Ojwang was suspended by President Uhuru Kenyatta over gross misconduct.
President Uhuru has since appointed a team of 7 people who will investigate Justice Ojwang.
