And moments later, the award-winning journalist yet again announced the death of the calf causing excitements on social media platforms.

Interestingly, Mr. Gisesa, now working with Gubernatorial Press Service in Nyamira, formed a WhatsApp group that attracted 18 users before the burial of his cattle.

"My nephew and niece mourning the fallen cow and ritororo which survived for just one day. Mother and daughter were buried today evening at 4 pm at their original home in Mekenene, at the late Mzee Achoki's compound.

"My cow's matriarch who lived for 16 years was also buried at the same place two weeks ago after losing the battle to cancer which had affected it's spine. In the solemn mass before it's burial, my 4-year old nephew Allan regretted that both the cow and ritororo followed their sokoro, the late Mzee Achoki, whom we laid to rest on Friday.

"Allan wondered why a cow could want to follow sokoro to the soil. Truly, it's God who gives and takes," he wrote in his tribute.

While people expected him to bury the cow at his Rigoma backyard, he opted to ferry it to Mekenene, about 20 kilometres for burial.

Mr. Gisesa  was journalist of the year in 2013 while working for the Standard before shifting to Nation for the second time.

In 2017, he narrowly lost Rigoma MCA seat to Benson Sironga of Jubilee. He is credited for his coverage of Linda Nchi Operation.

Several people sympathized with the misfortune with some offering to teach him 'better' farming methods.
