A woman and her two sons have been found dead inside a makeshift tent in a church compound in Uhonya village, Siaya county.
36-year old Anna Mwajuma, and her sons Dan Onyango and Lawrence Onyango aged 12 and 8 respectively are believed to have suffocated after a heavy intake of carbon monoxide generating from a jiko they were using.
While confirming the incident, North West Gem Chief Barrack Opondo said that the three had attended a prayer conference at the Gods last Appeal Church.
He added that they had put up the tent to accommodate them on Tuesday night, and were not seen the next day before being found dead on Wednesday at around 9:00PM.
“They were not seen the whole of Wednesday only for their bodies to be discovered in the tent later at around 9 pm,” he is quoted by the Standard.
The deceased were hailing from Mulaha sub location in Alego, in the same county.
The bodies have since been moved to the Siaya County Referral Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem procedures to establish the main actual of death.
