A Kisii county local musician has denied claims that he tried to 'poison' Kisii Governor James Ongwae and Senator Sam Ongeri at Tabaka ward in South Mugirango constituency on Monday.
TamTam termed the claims as cheap propaganda meant to tarnish his name.
According to him, he entertained the crowd at the function which was attended by Ongwae and Senator Ongeri after which he proceeded to have a chat with the two leaders.
"I'm a musician and not a killer. I didn't carry poison to the function as being claimed on social media. I decided to shake hands with Ongwae and Ongeri after performing at the event only for the security team to frogmarch me away as if a was a criminal," he stated.
TamTam maintained that he will not succumb to the cheap publicity in the media.
"I have always worked hard to earn a living. As a musician I will not take the poisoning claims seriously because such allegations are meant to tarnish my name," said TamTam.
He assured that he will continue being in the music industry saying he has no differences whatsoever with anyone.
The musician accused Ongwae's security team of manhandling him in public adding that he is not a beggar.
