This comes months after post-election tensions that rattled the country.
The gesture has fueled speculation about Ruto and Kalonzo working together ahead of the 2022 general election.
A Ruto-Kalonzo or Kalonzo-Ruto ticket would alter the political dynamics in the country.
Both have in the past said that they are open to working with anyone in their quest to ascend to the presidency.
