Former deputy president and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka today Joined Nairobi county governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Lungalunga maternity hospital in Makadara sub_county, Nairobi.
Posting on his Facebook page on Saturday, Sonko revealed that his government has partnered with the Kenya pipeline company for the construction of the hospital at a cost of Sh38 million
"Today in the company of former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka, I joined Kenya pipeline MD Hudson Adambi for the ground_breaking ceremony for the construction of Lungalunga maternity hospital in Viwandani ward, Makadara sub-county," Sonko said
According to the controversial governor, Nairobi county government contributed Sh18 million while the Kenya pipeline contributed Sh20 million towards the course.
"This is a good corporate social investment that other companies and state corporations should emulate," he went ahead to say.
Sonko noted that the health facility once finished will serve thousands of Viwandani residents and other neighbouring communities.
This comes a few days after the renovation of, among others, Pumwani hospital which according to the governor had been neglected.
