Orange Democratic Movement party Treasurer Timothy Bosire has yet again revisited controversial 2017 polls, lauding the unity deal between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
At Manga Catholic Church on Sunday, the former Kitutu Masaba MP recalled controversies surrounding 2017 polls, arguing that all indications were that Jubilee lost.
"We were being intimidated by the police as opposition as we were pushing for radical changes. They withdrew my security without any reason," he said.
In June 2016, Bosire was among leaders who were locked at Pangani Police Station for alleged incitement. Upon his release, a homecoming ceremony was held at Keroka and Manga.
In what could spark another controversy, Bosire, who has hinted that he would run for Nyamira gubernatorial seat, said that Uhuru admitted having bungled elections.
"And he (Uhuru) conceded that he rigged and had been sworn in. Raila said there was no need to continue wrangling. They are now working together and we must support them," added Bosire.
According to him, the handshake has restored relative calm and stability in the country, adding that Kenyans should embrace the approach.
Mr Bosire is a key ally of Raila Odinga. In the past, he has waged serious war against DP William Ruto in Gusii region, with the latest being a fortnight ago when he accused the DP of launching ghost projects.
