Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi left President Uhuru Kenyatta in stitches during the opening of Rivatex East African in Eldoret when he said that Kalenjin would not abandon him and he has no reason to leave their son Deputy President William Ruto.
The lawmaker started by thanking Uhuru for the launch of the project before he embarked on the succession debate.
Sudi who has been very vocal on matters of national interest, said that Kalenjin stood with Uhuru when he needed them most.
He reminded the President to remember the promise he made to the community when he was seeking power after the retirement of Former President Mwai Kibaki.
“Lazima ujue wewe ni mzigo wetu na sisi ni mzigo wako lazima tubebana. Hakuna mtu atapiga kona hapa katikati. Na ile watu huwa wanasahau history haraka sana 2008, 2007 your excellence shida tulipata hapa hatuwezi kubali watu kutuletea fitini. Ile kushikana kwako na William Ruto yenye hakuna mtu alikuwa anaamini ya kwamba mkikuyu na Mkalenjin watatembea pamoja na ikawezekana, sisi tuko pamoja hadi sisi tuko hapa hadi siku mwenyezi Mungu atarudi,” he said in part.
(You must know you are our burden and we are your burden and we must uplift each other. People often forget history too fast. In 2007 and 2008, your excellence, the problems we faced cannot allow us to tolerate propagandists. The way you united with William Ruto that no one believed that a Kikuyu could unite with a Kalenjin and walk together. We are here until the day Jesus comes back)
