AFC Leopards will be motivated when they take on their perennial rivals Gor Mahia on Saturday at the Moi Sports Kasarani.
Ingwe have been on a good run, having won five league matches in a row, but their last win against the league champions was way back in 2016.
The team’s coach, Rodolfo Zapata is optimistic that they can change the statistics, and has assured the fans that they will give 100% against Gor.
“I usually say this team is one of the biggest in not only Kenya but Africa at large. Against Gor Mahia, we have to show character, we have to push ourselves to the maximum and show we are better. This is a game I believe we can win, we have had an amazing run and confidence is good,” he said ahead of the game.
“The determination is there, we lost the first leg and we believe we can do better on Saturday and get a positive outcome,” he added.
The defending champions beat Ingwe 2-1 in the first leg, and they will need a win or a single point to seal their 17th league crown. Zapata says he has faith in his charges, and that he hopes everything will go as planned.
