While declaring the end of the hearing, Kisumu resident magistrate Beryl Omollo said she will deliver her ruling on February 14, next year.

The hearing started in February this year.

In her ruling, the magistrate is expected to direct relevant bodies to charge those adversely mentioned.

The then 6-months-old Baby Pendo died on August 15 last year, while receiving treatment at the Agha Khan Hospital.

She died three days after allegedly being clobbered by police who reportedly broke into her parents’ house in Nyalenda to quell chaos by members of the public, shortly after President Uhuru Kenyatta was announced the winner of the 2017 Presidential elections.

The baby was allegedly beaten on the head by a police button.

More than 20 witnesses among them her parents, police, members of the public, and human rights defenders testified in court.

Her mother Lencer Achieng was overwhelmed by grief during her testimony.
