Popular gospel musician Alex Apoko popularly known as Ringtone was on Monday afternoon arrested.
In a post on his Instagram account, Ringtone said he was arrested while leaving Cooperative University for in Karen.
“PRAYERS PLEASE🙏🙏🙏Is it crime to look for wife???? Why are police arrested me while am leave @cooperativeuniversity Karen. THEY MUST RELEASE ME. Eti am prostituting and causing confusion (sic),” he posted.
The artist has in recent days become the topic of discussion on the internet after he went on the streets with a placard to search for a wife.
His search for a wife on the streets began shortly after he was hosted on K24’s Up and Close reality show.
Ringtone who has been out of the entertainment industry for some time is known for being controversial. It still remains unclear whether his search for the wife was a publicity stunt or a genuine move.
